Want to see Prithvi Shaw in the World Cup 2023: Virender Shewag
Meanwhile, veteran Indian batter Virender Sehwag has lashed out at Indian team management for not including Prithvi Shaw in their squad for the New Zealand tour. He confessed that Shaw should have traveled with the team as a reserve. Sehwag further believes that the 22-year-old batter should feature in India’s squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup.
Prithvi Shaw’s non-selection in any of the squads for the New Zealand tour remained one of the major talking points. The opening batter is considered to be the finest batsman among youngsters currently. Shaw has been consistently putting up performances in domestic Cricket and not getting an India call is certainly frustrating for him as well as for the fans.

“One name that I wanted to see was Prithvi Shaw. He is not in the T20 team or the ODI team. He has not been there in Tests for a long time. I want to see him back and I am hopeful that will be in the team for the 2023 World Cup” said Sehwag questioning Prithvi Shaw’s absence in the New Zealand tour
“Prithvi Shaw plays at 150 strike rate, batting in the top order. He is suitable for T20 cricket. You could have at least taken him as a reserve player while going to New Zealand.” Sehwag further added speaking to Cricbuzz
