India’s first Chief Of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat died with 12 others in a helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu today. On 8th December 2021, General Bipin Rawat with his wife and 12 others Board on a Chopper from Sulur. But exactly at 11:45 AM chopper got crashed near Coonoor, Tamil Nadu as they were on their way to Wellington Nilgiri hills. Here is Who said what CDS Bipin Rawat Accident in social media.
By the evening Indian Air Force has confirmed the death of the Bipin Rawat and his wife and 11 others. Group Captain Varun Singh is being treated at a hospital and he is the only survivor being survived from the place of the incident.
IAF confirmed by posting a tweet,
With deep regret, it has now been ascertained that Gen Bipin Rawat, Mrs Madhulika Rawat and 11 other persons on board have died in the unfortunate accident,” the Indian Air Force (IAF) tweeted.

General Bipin Rawat was born in Uttarakhand on 16 March 1958 and was a 4 star general of India. Former Army chief Bipin after his retirement was appointed as India’s first Chief OF Defence Staff ( CDS). He assume the office as CDS from 1 January 2020. From 16 December 1978, he is being in active service of the Indian Army.
His wife’s name Madhulika Rawat also died along with him in a chopper crash today, they both have daughter’s name Kritika and Tarini. He has been awarded various medals in the service which includes, PVSM, UVSM, AVSM, YSM, VSM. India will never forget our CDS( Chief of Defence Staff).
