The Hardik Pandya-led young Indian team defeated Ireland in the second T20 international of the series yesterday (June 28). After early fightback from the hosts, It was a remarkable victory in the last-ball thriller for the visitors while defending a huge total of 226.
The win marked a dominating series win in the two-match T20I series with a margin of 2-0. Barring small patches of play, The performance of the Men In Blue remained quite incredible. They continued their long winning streak against Ireland.
Deepak Hooda, The star of the Indian team was named the player of the series and was undoubted, the find of the series of the visitors. He became the fourth Indian player to score a century in the T20 internationals in the second game of the series. Hooda scored 104 in the second match of the series and was unbeaten of 47 in the series opener.

Meanwhile, The stand-in Indian skipper Hardik Pandya was caught cursing his teammates Ishan Kishan and Harshal Patel on the stump mic. The incident happened in the heat of the moment when Pandya lost his cool with two Indian stars after a poor DRS call.
The wicket-keeper and right-arm pacer decided to go upstairs (LBW call), for a delivery that was hitting the batsman’s pads outside off. The replay also suggested that there was a big edge and deflecting before the ball crashed into the pads of the batter, resulting in the visitors losing their crucial review.
Hardik Pandya was praised for his captaincy and leadership by the fans and the experts. He led the new franchise Gujarat Titans to win their maiden IPL title and guided the young Indian team to clean-sweep Ireland in their own backyard.
