IND vs AUS: The series decider of the three-match ODI series between India and Australia is going on in full swing in MA Chidambaram Stadium of Chennai. The fixture currently is in a tricky phase with hosts India appearing marginally dominant. As the first inning of the match is nearing its conclusion, Australia have achieved the 270-run mark with less than 2 overs to go. The first inning has been full of ups and downs as both teams would be equally fancying their chances of registering a win.
Most of the Australian batters managed to get off to a decent start, however, failed to put up big individual scores. Mitchell Marsh, the renowned opening batter, ended up as Australia’s leading run scorer with a 47-run knock. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya starred for India with a three-wicket haul. It will be interesting to see which team manages to come out on top in the must-win affair.
Rohit Sharma unimpressed following Kuldeep Yadav’s DRS error
Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav’s error in judgment while opting for a referral remained a highly talked point on social media earlier today. The episode occurred in the 39th over when Yadav thought he trapped Australia batter Ashton Agar in front of the stumps, however, the on-field umpire appeared uninterested. The chinaman was convinced that Agar was out and went on to convince skipper Rohit Sharma to opt for a DRS. The replay later suggested that the ball made an impact outside off-stumps and hence Agar ultimately survived.

“I have been working on it, trying to bowl within the wickets, from there if I can spin the ball, so there is a lot of chance to get caught behind. The way Marsh started, probably thought they would get close to 300 but the way Hardik bowled, he got 3 wickets and got us back in the game. But it’s a slow track, so we have to bat carefully,” said Kuldeep Yadav after the 1st inning
Moreover, Indian captain Rohit Sharma was left furious as the team’s crucial referral went into vain. Kuldeep Yadav faced Sharma’s angry reaction as the game continued in Chennai. Yadav, however, had a great run with the ball in the all-important fixture. He took as many as three wickets against a star-studded batting unit of Australia.
