Rohit Sharma loses his cool on Rishabh Pant:
Meanwhile, Nicholas Pooran, The captain of West Indies looked in red-hot form as he smashed the Indian left-arm spinner Axar Patel for four sixes in five deliveries. However, his short and significant stay in the crease was derailed after he got run out on the last ball of the same over followed by a long walk back to the dressing room.
Nicholas Pooran lost his wicket while he tried to steal a quick single after playing a defensive shot in the point region. Non-striker Kyle Mayers was at fault as he stopped Pooran mid-way during running between the wickets after initiating the run. Both the marquee Caribbean batters ended up at the non-striker’s end due to a big miscommunication.
The Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant collected the ball after a perfect throw by the point fielder Sanju Samson, but comically did not take the bails off and instead waited for a few seconds. The incident left Indian captain Rohit Sharma fuming as he instructed Rishabh Pant to take the bails multiple times before he completed the act.
