IND vs AUS: The iconic Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium of Ahmedabad is currently conducting the final Test match of the ongoing Test series between India and Australia. The series-deciding affair of the four-match enthralling series has been a thriller with both the teams displaying remarkable Cricketing skills. The fourth day’s play is underway on Sunday in Ahmedabad following multiple ups and downs in the first three days of the test match.
Winning the toss, batting first, Steve Smith-led Australia posted a gigantic total of 480 before bundling out on the second day. In response, hosts India are currently batting on the score of 400 with as many as five wickets in hand. The match has been dominated by the batters of both teams in the ideal batting conditions of Ahmedabad. Almost five play sessions now remain in the Ahmedabad test, and it will be interesting to see if any team tries to force a result.
“It feels great to score a hundred here. This is my IPL home ground and glad to get some runs here. The pitch was pretty good to bat on. They (Australia) were not attacking that much. We are (currently) three down for almost 300. We would look to get a big score on day 4. Who knows the wicket might help our bowlers on day 5.” said Indian opener Shubman Gill after scoring a century on Day 3
Virat Kohli’s death stare to KS Bharat following run-out close call
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli appeared unimpressed with KS Bharat after an error during running between the wickets earlier today (Sunday). The episode occurred in the first session earlier today when non-striker Bharat denied an easy single after Kohli pushed a ball in the mid-wicket reason. Kohli, fortunately, returned back to the crease safely, avoiding a possible run-out. The incident could well have resulted in the dismissal of either Kohli or Bharat in an unfortunate fashion.

Virat Kohli, later, went on to complete his hundred at Ahmedabad and is still unbeaten. Kohli is currently batting on the score of 115, playing a big role in India’s aim to achieve a lead in the first innings. The wait for a century was finally over for Kohli as his last Test century occurred back in 2019. The 33-year-old would now want to convert it into a big hundred, possibly a double hundred.
