IND vs AUS: The final test match of the ongoing Test series between India and Australia is currently occuring in Ahmedabad. The crucial encounter of the four-match series has been action packed with visitors Australia displaying a clear dominance. The Steve Smith-led side is batting on the score of 480 and is almost on the verge of bundling out, as the play on the second day is nearing its conclusion.
It has been a special batting effort from Australia in favorable batting conditions at Ahmedabad after winning the toss. Usman Khawaja remained Australia’s pick of the batters with a gigantic century. Khawaja played a 180-run knock, facing a mammoth 422 balls during his marathon stay at the crease. The emerging all-rounder Cameron Green, too, scored a century before falling prey to Ravi Ashwin.
“Getting a hundred, as an Australian, you always want to do that. It’s very special. It was such a nice wicket, I didn’t want to give my wicket away. It was a mental battle more than anything else. You need to keep doing it for a long time.” said Australia star Usman Khawaja after the century at Ahmedabad
Another DRS blunder by Rohit Sharma
Meanwhile, Team India’s incorrect decision of referral earlier today left the fans unimpressed. The episode occurred in Ravindra Jadeja’s over when the left-arm spinner assumed that he trapped Usman Khawaja in front of the stumps. Jadeja bowled a relatively straighter delivery to Khawaja and in response, the Australian batter did not attempt a shot. The ball crashed straight into Khawaja’s pads which ultimately forced India to opt for a DRS.

The decision was sent upstairs to the third umpire and the replay suggested that the ball was clearly missing the off-stump. The episode ended with laughs on both umpire’s and players’ faces. Ravindra Jadeja, who had a substandard outing in the field was left embarrassed after the DRS call. The premier all-rounder was hammered for 89 runs in 35 overs, managing to take only a wicket. He would now be desperate to contribute with the bat but in the approaching innings on Day 3.
