IND vs NZ: Rohit Sharma-led Indian team made headlines following the achievement of a clean sweep in the ODI series against New Zealand. It was a dominating all-round performance from hosts India in the three-match home series, resulting in a 3-0 series triumph. Both teams now eye on the approaching T20I series, which is formally scheduled to kick off on January 27 at the renowned JSCA International Cricket Stadium of Ranchi.
Meanwhile, Team India’s dream outing in the third ODI of the New Zealand series yesterday (January 24) remained the talk of the town. The Men In Blue handed over a mammoth 90-run defeat to the Blackcaps in a virtually irrelevant dead rubber affair. Batting first, India posted a huge total of 385 on the board and successfully defended it, ultimately marking a clean sweep. Shardul Thakur, the emerging India pacer, was named the player of the match after a 3-wicket spell.
