The 54th IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede Stadium had already commenced. The match resulted in RCB convincingly beating SRH by 67 runs.
Concerning signs for SRH as they have now lost all of their last four matches in the business end of the tournament. In the earlier stage of IPL 2022, SRH was one of the top contenders to finish in top 4.
In the match RCB won the match and elected to bowl first, on the first delivery of the match Jagdishan Suchit dismissed Virat Kohli for a golden duck, it was 3rd golden duck for Virat Kohli in this IPL season so far.
Captain Faf Du Plessis showed his class and scored 70*(49), Rajat Patidar & Maxwell contributed with the bat as well as they both built small partnerships with Captain Fag Du Plessis who was anchoring the innings.
In the second innings, SRH didn’t manage to grip the game as they lost Kane Williamson via run out on the very first ball of the innings & lost the wicket of youngster Abhishek Sharma in the same over.
For RCB, Wanindu Hasaranga managed to grab his first fifer in IPL, He gave only 18 runs in his 4 overs spell and grabbed 5 wickets.
Overall it was a perfect game from RCB as most of the players played their roles nicely, it was a boost for RCB in NRR as well as they won the game by a huge margin of 67 runs.
Virat Kohli Bows Before Dinesh Karthik
Dinesh Karthik is the find for Royal Challengers Bangalore in this season of IPL so far. His aggressive batting, his hitting ability, and his way of dealing with the pressure have been very crucial for RCB. Even today, he scored 30 runs in just 8 deliveries at a Strike rate of 375.
After his crucial knock, he returned back to the dressing room when Virat Kohli was seen bowing down before Dinesh Karthik out of respect for his fabulous knock. The moment was captured by the Cameraman and it went viral all over social media in no time.
