Twitter Reactions: Sachin Tendulkar Steals The Show With A Vintage Knock Against England Legends

The proceeding season of the Road Safety World Series is heading towards the business end. The marquee tournament occurs across renowned venues in India including Kanpur, Indore, Dehradun, and Kanpur. Eight prominent cricket-playing nationals are featured in the ongoing edition.

RSWS kicked off on September 10 with the final scheduled on October 1. Sri Lankan legends are leading the points tally currently after achieving three victories in three matches. The Indian team has also managed to clinch three wins and faced defeat in one game so far midway through the season.

Meanwhile, The Sachin Tendulkar-led Indian team squared off against Ian Bell-led England team in a much-anticipated match yesterday (September 22). The iconic Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium of Dehradun was assigned to be the venue for the all-important game.

Indian skipper Sachin Tendulkar managed to make headlines, playing a match-winning knock of 40 runs with a remarkable strike rate of 200. The inning by an Indian veteran against top quality English bowling attack included as many as three maximums and an equal number of fours. 

The knock by Sachin Tendulkar was highly appreciated by social media users, especially on Twitter as fans flooded out the platform with some special messages. Some of the outrageous shots certainly reminded the fans of the famous Sharjah innings of the Mumbaikar. 

It was a captain’s knock by the opening batter which empowered the Men In Blue to set up a mammoth total and eventually register a comprehensive win. A victory in this game helped India to jump to the second position in the updated points table.
