KL Rahul, 30, the all-format team member of India’s star-studded lineup was rested from the proceeding New Zealand series due to his wedding. The renowned top-order batter will return in action next month in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, kicking off on February 9. Rahul recently shared a picture on his social media handles highlighting his preparations and training ahead of the all-important home series against Pat Cummins and co.
The renowned Cricketer KL Rahul and emerging Bollywood Actress Athiya Shetty tied the knot earlier this week (January 23) following a four-year-long romantic relationship. The wedding ceremony formerly occurred at Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse located in Khandala of Maharashtra. Being a very private and close event, The ceremony was attended by as few as 100 guests, including multiple Bollywood celebrities and famous Cricketers. A ‘no phone’ privacy was allegedly exercised by the guests at the event.

BMW Car and Ninja Kawasaki Bike make it into KL Rahul-Athiya Shetty wedding’s gift collection!
The latest media reports suggest that the couple received some ultra-expensive and lavish gifts following the wedding. LiveMint reported that KL Rahul received a top BMW car worth Rs. 2.17 crores from veteran India batter Virat Kohli. Rahul made his Test debut for the national side under the leadership of Kohli back in 2014. Former Indian skipper, Ms. Dhoni, too, allegedly gifted the couple a Rs. 80 lakhs worth of Ninja Kawasaki bike.
Another report claimed that the Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty gifted a mammoth 50 crores apartment while Salman Khan contributed with an Audi car (1.64 crores). Moreover, well-known Bollywood actors Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor were gifted a watch and bracelet worth 30 lakhs and 1.5 crores respectively. Even though there has been no official confirmation regarding the gifts from Rahul or Athiya’s family members, the reports appear credible.
