Team India’s Schedule in 2022: ICC World cup, Asia Cup and BG Trophy to play

Team India had a great run in all three formats of the game except the T20 World Cup in 2021. The performance in test cricket was just unbelievable where we defeated Australia in their soil for the second consecutive time against all the odds. Now here is Team India’s Schedule in 2022.

In the home series against England after going 1-0 down and then winning the series comfortably, having a lead (2-1) against England in the unfinished Test series in England.

On a high note ended this year by winning a test match in Centurion and going 1-0 up in the 3 test match series. Team India played just 6 one-day games in 2021 and won 4 of them.

In T20 cricket, Team India, won the series at home against the Challenging England side, unfortunately, lost the T20 series against Srilanka and then the disastrous World Cup Campaign. However, we ended 2021 by Winning the series against the Kiwis at home.

As 2022 has begun we will look at the schedule of the India team in this calendar year.

2 Tests & 3 ODIs vs South Africa in SA

• February:
3 ODIs & 3 T20Is vs West Indies in India

• Feb-March:
2 Tests & 3 T20Is vs Sri Lanka in India

• March:
3 ODIs vs Afghanistan in India

• June:
5 T20Is vs South Africa in India

• July:
1 Test, 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs vs England in England

• July-August:
3 ODIs, 3 T20Is West Indies in West Indies

• September:
T20 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka

• September-November:
4 Tests vs Australia (BG Trophy), 3 T20Is

• October 16-November 13:
T20 World Cup in Australia

• November:
2 Tests, 3 ODIs in Bangladesh

• December:
5 ODIs vs Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka

The first assignment in 2022 will be to finish South Africa on a good note after getting a lead.

In 2022, Team India will play two major events in form of the Asia Cup in Srilanka and the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia.

Team India will have a full stretched England tour in July. Australia will tour India in the month of September-November for 4 Tests (BG Trophy) and 3 T20Is.
