Bangladesh Cricket Board has confirmed the injury status of Iqbal. They release the statement in which they said, He (Tamim) met the physician and they have advised him to take one-month rest though he won’t require any surgery. In that case, he’s missing the New Zealand tour.”
His injury came while he was playing Everest premier league in Nepal. 2021 is the fifth edition of EPL. Nepal has launched this tournament five years back in 2016 to promote cricket in Nepal. Iqbal is a left-handed Bangladeshi batsman who is playing international cricket from the tender age of 17. He debuted back in 2007 versus Zimbabwe, after this he won’t look back and played dominantly in all the formats for Bangladesh. In 219 ODI matches, he scored 7666 runs with an average of 37.
