Shaheen Shah Afridi’s yorker staggers Gurbaz upfront:
In the meantime, premier Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has become the topic of the day on social media after bowling a fiery spell against Afghanistan today (October 19). The left-arm pacer managed to scalp two crucial wickets in the initial overs itself in his mandatory four-over quote with a remarkable economy of 7.25.
The dismissal of in-form Afghanistan opener Rehmanullah Gurbaz remained the highlight of his spell. Afridi trapped the right-hand batter in front of the stumps with an unplayable yorker on the fourth delivery of the opening over. He was highly praised by Pakistani players and fans for producing a fine spell.
Gurbaz who was dismissed by Afridi was unable to walk back to the dressing room as he suffered an unfortunate injury after the ball collided with his left foot. The Afghanistan Cricket Board later officially confirmed that he was taken for the scans at the local hospital and the reports of the full-fledged scans are yet to be revealed.
