India basically is in a strong phase of this series so after the cancellation of the fifth test. India clearly declared the winner of the LV insurance test series. But BCCI offered ECB to re-schedule the test in the next year’s tour. The decision will not be offered to the Indian cricket board about the rescheduling. But BCCI offered them and show them the respect what the England cricket board gave us in the 2008 Mumbai attack. Gavaskar likes this attitude of BCCI because in 2008 ECB shows the same to the BCCI.
What was a real story of the 2008 Gesture of ECB which Sunil Gavaskar Said
So basically what happened in the year 2008 Mumbai attack just after the Mumbai attack the series going on between India and England has been called off. After the attack Kevin Pietersen the captain of the England team has decided to come back to India and start the series. It’s on the Kevin Pietersen choice that he may withdraw the decision of come back. But KP came back and play the match on 29th November.

So basically what Gavaskar has said in an interview “We as Indians should never forget that the England team came back after the horrific attacks of 2008. They would have been perfectly entitled to say ‘we are not comfortable coming back”
“So, we should never forget that Kevin Pietersen led the team and he was the main man. If KP had said ‘no I don’t want to go’ that would have been the end of the tour. It was because KP convinced the others that the team came and we had that fantastic Test match in Chennai where India chased down 380 on Day 5 to win,”
BCCI offer is Appreciable
You all have an Indian who should respect the decision of BCCI that they offer the ECB for rescheduling of the fifth test. Basically, the fifth test has been canceled due to the increase in Covid cases on the Indian side. So it is our responsibility to compensate with same with the series.
