“There should be no real excuse” – Sunil Gavaskar
In modern-day cricket due to Covid bio bubble is supposed to be the safest bubble for players. In this players are not allowed to go outside their allotted restricted area which is considered to be a bubble. For the last two years, cricket is being played in that this bio bubble.
Cricket is being played under this vocal for the last two years. Many players complained about bio bubble fatigue, basically during the players are not allowed to go outside and meet their family members. And being in the bubble for more than six months eight months let the cricketers exhaust.

Jasprit Bumrah is also complaining about the fatigue of bio bubble he said, “Absolutely, sometimes you need a break. You miss your family. You’ve been on the road for six months. Obviously staying in a bubble and staying away from your family for such a long period of time does play a role. The BCCI also tried their best to make us feel comfortable … It’s a difficult time. There’s a pandemic going on, so we try to adapt but sometimes bubble fatigue, mental fatigue also creeps in,”.
Sunil Gavaskar slams the statement of Jasprit Bumrah
Gavaskar replied immediately to Jasprit Bumrah’s statement. He said, “Well look, when you are playing for India, everything has got to recede to the background. It’s as simple as that. It’s an unbelievable privilege and a huge honor to be playing for and representing your country. There are millions who you know, want to get the India cap, the India colors…
‘Nobody should be saying that this [bubble fatigue] is there. There should be no real excuse. You should go out there and give it your best. It’s as simple as that.”
He further said, “And that’s all the Indian fans are expecting. We all know that you can’t win every game. This is a sport, you are going to lose. Even the greatest of players in individual sports, even the greatest of teams lose. And this is a great team, make no mistake. The way they have played over the years, it’s a top team, this Indian team is a top champion team.
‘But it’s only in the multi-country tournaments where they have not found their feet. So I think that’s something they need to do and not talk about anything else.”
Did Jasprit Bumrah really make an excuse?
During IPL cricket has left the IPL between due to bio bubble fatigue. Left the IPL and made it due to bio bubble fatigue and went back straight to the Caribbean. Mahela Jayawardene has also left the Sri Lankan head coach position for a few months as he left the bubble of Sri Lanka amid of cricket World Cup T-20.
Modern-day cricketers are going through this bio bubble pain. Gavaskar being the senior-most player slams is Jasprit Bumrah over by better bubble fatigue. Even if the legends like Gayle and Jayawardene are complaining about the bio bubble then surely Bumrah is not making an excuse.
