England’s poor run in Test cricket continued as Australia demolished England 4-0 in the Ashes Test Series 2021-22. The best chance for the England team to win a test match in this series was the last test match at Hobart while chasing 271 runs but they collapsed from 68-0 to 124 runs all out.

This incident happened on the second day of the fifth and the final test against Australia at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart wherein the 63rd over were Australia scored 245 runs for the loss of six wickets.

Broad had a good test match as the 35-year-old scalped six wickets in the test match. (three wickets in each innings). At the start of the first innings, he scalped the big wicket of Usman Khawaja, who came into the game after twin tons at the Sydney Cricket Ground. He even got the better of well-set Marnus Labuschagne, who scored 44 runs off 53 balls. The third wicket was of Nathan Lyon who scored quickfire 31 runs off 27 balls.
In the second innings, he again gave England a good start as he got rid of David Warner early in the game. Then he scalped the wicket of Cameron Green and Alex Carey which helped England stop Australia on 155 runs.

Stuart Broad played only three games as he missed two of the first four Tests. Which were played at The Gabba in Brisbane and at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. But in the three Tests he played, he made an impact as he was the second-highest wicket-taker for England in the series after Mark Wood, who scalped 17 wickets. Broad picked 13 wickets in 3 Tests at an average of 26.31.
