The upcoming BCCI elections are set to be held in the coming month. The elections will be held for multiple marquee roles in the Indian board. The long list includes the following roles – President, vice president, secretary, joint secretary, and, treasurer.
The list of nominees for all the positions will be made public by October 12. As things stand, Sourav Ganguly is the president, Rajeev Shukla is the vice president, Jay Shah is the secretary, and Arun Dhumal is the treasurer of the BCCI. There will be plenty of changes in the list after the upcoming BCCI elections.
The former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly was appointed as the elected President of the Board of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) back in 2019 and his marathon tenure is now all set to conclude. It is expected that Ganguly will not contest for the exact position once again.
Probable names to replace Sourav Ganguly as the BCCI President:
According to reports, former Indian cricketer Roger Binny and the current BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla are the top two probable names to replace Sourav Ganguly as the BCCI President. The experts expect more information in the next couple of days, during the announcement of nominees.
As things stand, Roger Binny, Who was part of India’s World Cup-winning team (1983) is believed to be the top contender for the elite position. Binny will represent Karnataka State Cricket Association in the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), while Shukla is likely to represent Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association.

“Earlier, KSCA’s Santosh Menon would represent the KSCA in the BCCI AGM. But Binny will represent the Karnataka unit this time, while Sourav Ganguly will represent the Cricket Association of Bengal It is too early to predict anything. The nominations will be filed next week, only then things could be clear,”
