IND vs SL: The five-member BCCI selection committee recently announced India’s squad for the approaching T20I and ODI series against Sri Lanka. The squad announcement was always highly anticipated and has been the town’s talk during the last couple of days. The Indian selectors took several critical decisions in a full-fledged meeting on Tuesday night, which includes getting rid of long-standing opener Shikhar Dhawan in one-day internationals.
Hardik Pandya snatching the ODI vice-captaincy from KL Rahul was another big point of discussion. India’s Sri Lanka assignment will officially kick off with the three-match T20I series on January 3, while the ODI series is scheduled to commence on January 10. The Men In Blue had a poor outing in the recently-concluded ODI series in the Bangladesh tour and now the team will be desperate to produce results.
