Shakib Al Hasan is set to miss the playoffs
According to the reports by Cricfreny, Shakib Al Hasan is set to miss the playoffs matches as he will leave for his National Duty alongside Rajasthan’s Mustafizur Rahman as they will join the Bangladesh squad on Sunday, October 10.
Earlier, the Bangladesh team was traveling to Dubai on October 9 but due to a sudden change in plans, they will depart for Abu Dhabi on October 10.
Players have to mandatory go for one day in-room quarantine on October 11. This means they will not have a practice session before their first warm-up match against Srilanka. Bangladesh will take part in two official practice matches. These matches will be on October 12 and 14 against Sri Lanka and Ireland respectively.
Shakib Al Hasan’s performance in this IPL season
Hasan hasn’t got many chances in this season looking at the combination of just having 4 foreign players. In India’s leg, he started in the playing 11 ahead of Narine but after three games he was replaced. And in Uae’s leg, he got an opportunity in the last two games. Hasan had an average season where he picked up 4 wickets with the ball and 38 runs with the bat.
How can replace Shakib Al Hasan in the playing side?
If Andre Russell is 100 % fit, then he walks in straight in place of him. Otherwise, they need to go with Ben Cutting who could play the two-dimensional role for KKR in the must-win game.
