Team Afghanistan is in Bangladesh to play three-match ODI and two-match T20I series. Bangladesh won the first ODI and the second ODI was a must win game for Afghanistan. Bangladesh scored 306/4 while batting first.Shakib Al Hasan calls back Rahmat Shah in this match.
While chasing the target, Afghanistan were three down within 40 runs. The visitors were in huge trouble.
Shakib Al Hasan calls back Rahmat Shah
Rahmat Shah, the batsman of Afghanistan was at non-striker’s end. Najibullah Zadran was the striker. He hit the ball straight on Shakib’s bowling and Shakib tried to stop the ball. Surprisingly, he failed to stop the ball and the ball hit the stumps.
Shakib Al Hasan and the fielders appealed for a run-out. The decision was sent to the third-umpire. Eventually, He was given out by the third-umpire.
After that Shakib had a chat with his skipper Tamim Iqbal and the conclusion was that the Bangladeshi team withdrew their appeal and Rahmat Shah was called back.

It can be seen in the close replays that the ball didn’t touch Shakib’s hand and it was the right decision to withdraw the appeal.
The gesture by the Bangladesh All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan won the hearts of cricket fans around the world and Shakib was appreciated for the gesture.

Rahmat Shah later went on to score a fifty along with Zadran but unfortunately ended on a losing side.
Afghanistan lost the match by 88 runs and therefore lost the ODI series as well. Bangladesh continues to dominate at their home.
The third ODI is a dead-rubber and an exciting T20I series is to follow. The last ODI will take place on February 28.
The visitors are expected to give a tough competition to the hosts with the T20 experience they have.
The hosts, Bangladesh will look to continue the domination and bag the T20I trophy as well.
Performance of both the teams was disappointing in the recently concluded T20I world cup, UAE but both the teams will look to build a strong squad for the upcoming edition of T20 World Cup which will take place in Australia in October.
