After the successful first season, the Road Safety World Series is back with another season. This tournament is founded by Ravi Gaikwad and organized by MSPL & ANZA Investment Group. Season 2 of Road Safety World Series (RSWS) T20 will be played in India and UAE.
The main objective of this tournament is to raise awareness about ‘road safety across the world and also to see the legends of the game, who had retired from Cricket.
Date and Venue of Season 2 Road Safety World Series (RSWS) T20
Season 2 will be played in India and UAE from 5th February 2022 till 19th March 2022.
The league will begin in India as the matches from February 5 to March 1 will be played in India and the matches from March 1 to 19 will be played in UAE. The final match of RSWS will be hosted by UAE on 19th March 2022.
The Emirates Cricket Board has confirmed it, having issued a NOC for the mega event to the organizers ANZA Investments Group. In fact, the ANZA Investments Group happens to be a group company of Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan.
Last season, India won the inaugural edition of the road safety world series and emerged as champions.
Many legends of the game such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag Yuvraj Singh, Brian Lara, Kevin Pietersen, Jonty Rhodes, and Tillakaratne Dilshan will feature in it.
Dilshan was the stand-out performer of last season as he won the player of the series award. He was on the top in both aspects of the game. Furthermore to add he was the top scorer by scoring 271 runs. He was also the highest wicket-taker by picking up 12 wickets.
According to the latest news around 160 International retired cricketers will be seen in RSWS 2022. With this many cricketers, the tournament is expected to be bigger than the last season.
