The high-octane test series between India and Bangladesh is currently underway in Bangladesh. The KL Rahul-led side got off to a fitting start, achieving a dominating victory in the series opener last week. The second test match is occurring in Dhaka. As things stand, Team India is in an extremely dominant position and is in all likelihood to register a clean sweep in the two-match series.
The absence of some senior players including skipper Rohit Sharma has been an extensively talked about point throughout the series. The Mumbaikar suffered a thumb injury during the recently-concluded ODI series, which was part of the exact tour. Sharma is now in Mumbai, undergoing rehab at the Maharashtra Cricket Association. He is reportedly close to achieving match fitness and will likely remain available for the T20I series against Sri Lanka.
