The retention news is just on and around for a while as the teams have been asked by BCCI to submit the list of players whom they want to remain ahead of the mega auction by 30th November.
Talking about Sunrisers Hyderabad, they had their worst IPL season last time and the team needs to regroup and strategize new opinion.

According to reports Sunrisers Hyderabad wants to retain Williamson as the first pick but Rashid Khan wants more money than Kane Williamson and wants to be the first retention from Hyderabad.
Hyderabad management wants Kane to be the 1st retention
There is a gap of around 4 crores between the 1st retention and the 2nd retention. And Rashid clearly wants more money than the Captain. Then it comes to T20 cricket, Rashid Khan is a run-away match-winner and his stats as a leg spinner clearly justify his demands.
Rashid Khan was retained by Sunrisers last time around in the mega auction for around 9 crores.
On the other hand, Kane Williamson was picked in 2015 by Hyderabad and has been an integral part of them. Rashid was also a part of the squad of 2016 which won the IPL trophy.

He is a brilliant batter as well as a brilliant captain. He lead the side to the final of 2018 and also won the orange cap that year. In International Cricket as well he has led New Zealand to three consecutive ICC tournament Finals. Now the decision has to be made by the management of the franchise with making both of them happy.

Kane Willamson – In 62 innings, he has scored 1885 runs at an average of around 40.
Rashid Khan – In 76 innings, he has picked 93 wickets with an economy of around 6.33.
