Following an extensive selection meeting in Mumbai, BCCI recently announced India’s lineups for the Test and One-day International series against Windies.
The selection of Yashasvi Jaiswal remained one of the highlights of India’s squad selection. Jaiswal was picked by the selectors for the two-match red ball series against Windies which surprised many. According to the latest media developments, the Southpaw is likely to replace Cheteshwar Pujara at No. 3 in India’s star-studded batting unit.

I don’t spend on anything unnecessary: Jaiswal on his finances
Meanwhile, Yashasvi Jaiswal opened up about his financial life during a recent interaction with Indian Express. Jaiswal disclosed that his IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals manages his major finances, which helps him focus on the game. The Mumbai batter further stated that he has received substantial backing from the Rajasthan-based franchise in his brief money-investing journey.
“The primary thing for me is cricket. I have received a lot of support from Rajasthan Royals. They manage me financially; the franchise guides me on how I should invest my money. They take care of my finances so that I can focus on my cricket.” Jaiswal told Indian Express

“To date, I have managed myself really well. First, I trust my decisions. Secondly, I try and spend on things necessary for me. For example, I need a good diet, a good home for the family. I won’t say that I don’t spend much, I do, but not on anything unnecessary,” the opening batter further added
Opening the batting for Rajasthan Royals, Yashasvi Jaiswal had a dream run with the bat in this Indian Premier League season (IPL 2023). The 21-year-old batsman ended up as the fourth leading run-getter in the exact IPL season with a whopping 625 runs to his name. Jaiswal featured in all 14 league matches for RR and portrayed a remarkable average of 48.07.
