Hardik Pandya’s favorite cricketer:
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya named Wasim Jaffer as his favorite cricketer growing up in an interaction with SG. He went on to confess that he used to mimic the right-hander’s batting style in the initial days.
Pandya places the Mumbaikar over some big cricketing names including Sachin Tendulkar, Jacques Kallis, and Virat Kohli. He admitted that the list is long, and it’s tough to pick a single name out of some legend while concluding.
“Like everyone, I had favorite cricketers. I liked Jacques Kallis, Virat, Sachin sir. There are so many greats that you can’t pick. My favorite cricketer was actually Wasim Jaffer. I used to love watching him bat. Someone I always placed him above other legends. Somehow, I used to copy his batting, but I was never able to get his class,”
Jaffer is considered to be one of the best players in the Indian domestic circuit. He managed to score a whopping 19,410 runs in the list A cricket. The right-hand opener featured in more than 250 games. He had an average of 50+ in the same games. The Mumbaikar also represented the Indian team in 31 tests and 2 one-day internationals.
