Pakistan is taking on Australia in a three-match test series, This time at home. The series is a historic one as for the first time, A big cricket-playing nation is touring Pakistan. The scoreline of the series is 0-0 at the moment.
The first two test matches were dominated by batters with the help of batting-friendly pitches. Batsmen from both teams enjoyed spending their time at the crease. The dry outfields made it easier to score runs as well.
The story looks different in the third test as the pitch has something to offer to bowlers as well. Australian skipper Pat Cummins called it right during the toss and elected to bat.
Australia scored 391 runs in the first innings while in response Pakistan scored 268. The skipper Pat Cummins impressed everyone with a five-wicket-haul. The visitors are 182/2 at the moment and trying to force a result.
Shaheen Afridi takes Warner’s wicket :
On day 4 of the match, Australia was provided with a good start by the openers as The visitors were unbeaten on the score of 96. David Warner was batting on 51 while Khawaja was batting on 43. The hosts desperately were in need of a breakthrough.
On the first ball of the 29th over, Shaheen Afridi bowled a full-length delivery with a lot of reverse swings. Warner expected the ball to be straighter and missed the line completely. The ball straight away crashed into the stumps as Warner remained stunned.
The left-arm pacer and opener were engaged in some friendly banter towards the end of the play on Day 3 as both the openers survived some good bowling by Pakistan yesterday.
Afridi has got the better of David Warner multiple times in the series. Surprisingly, The left-arm pacer shook hands with Warner while he was walking back to the dressing room. The gesture by Afridi won a lot of hearts on social media.
