Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star batter Nitish Rana has come up with an indirect statement in which he is showing disappointment for not being named in the T20I squad to play a five-match series against South Africa.
India will be playing a five-match T20I series against South Africa from 9 June to 19 June, for the series, South Africa announced their full strength squad while India will be resting some of the star players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah.
The five-match series will be played in India with the first encounter to take place in New Delhi on June 9, followed by encounters in Cuttack (June 12), Visakhapatnam (June 14), Rajkot (June 17), and the final match in Bengaluru on June 19 (Sunday).

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on May 22 (Sunday) made an announcement for the 18-member squad for the T20I series against South Africa. Meanwhile, Team India will be playing under the captaincy of KL Rahul during the five matches T20I series, the likes of Avesh Khan, Dinesh Karthik, and Hardik Pandya, have been doing well in IPL 2022 and will want to continue their performances for the national team as well.

Nitish Rana’s name was not on the list. The southpaw batter has given his reaction and put out a tweet to express his feelings.
Nitish Rana was part of India’s squad for the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka when India was touring Sri Lanka in 2021. He made his debut against Sri Lanka in that series but did not get enough chances.

Talking about Nitish Rana’s numbers in IPL, the left-handed batter has played 91 matches and has scored a total of 2181 runs at an average of almost 28.
