IPL 2023: The approaching edition of the Indian Premier League (2023) is now less than 60 days away. The latest media reports confirmed that the season would formally commence on April 1 while the final is likely to be scheduled on May 28. The auction for the competition occurred in the last week of December, which remained a blockbuster. Multiple international and domestic stars appeared in the mega event in which all 10 franchises participated.
Sam Curran, Cameron Green and Ben Stokes stole the show and were in the headline after the mini-auction following bagging mammoth deals. The all-rounder achieved bids worth a whopping 18.5 crores, 17.5 crores and 14.25 crores; from the likes of Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indian and Ben Stokes respectively. The mini-auction was a perfect build-up ahead of the start of the season as the fans now wait for the beginning of the marquee league.

Meanwhile, Chris Gayle has made some staggering statements regarding his former IPL franchises, namely, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings, while doing commentary in the SA20 league. Gayle believes that both the prominent franchises lack essential qualities like ‘Trust’ and ‘Loyalty’ with the players. The Southpaw further emphasized that the teams should work on the crucial aspect in order to achieve success in the league.
“Players don’t feel part of a franchise in Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB and PBKS (Punjab Kings) need to learn how to work with words like Loyalty and Trust,” said Chris Gayle during commenting on JioTV
