They managed to bundle out the formidable batting unit of the Indian team on a score of 219.
Chasing a relatively low total, New Zealand is now cruising to achieve a comprehensive victory. The team lost just one wicket on the score of 97 after the conclusion of the 17th over. If you want to compare, you can do that when I am 30-32: Rishabh Pant
Meanwhile, the emerging Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant is being scrutinized by the fans following a rude statement during a pre-match interview. The episode occurred when, Harsha Bhogle, who was doing Pant’s interview for the broadcasters asked him a question comparing his stats in test cricket and limited-overs Cricket. He also went on to cite an example of former Indian opener Virender Sehwag.
Rishabh Pant looked uncomfortable while answering the question and stated that his white-ball numbers are decent. Nonetheless, As things stand. Pant’s stats in white-ball Cricket are comparatively unimpressive, especially in T20 internationals. He has featured in a whopping 66 T20I contests and has managed to score only 987 runs, with an average of 22.4.
Bhogle: I had asked the same question Sehwag, now I will ask you. Looking at you, we get the feeling that white-ball cricket is your USP but it’s your Test record that is better.
Pant: Sir, records are just numbers. My white-ball record is not bad either.
Bhogle: I am not saying it is bad, I am comparing it with the Test numbers.
Pant: Doing comparisons is not a part of my life. I’m 24-25, if you want to compare, you can do that when I am 30-32.
