Around 500 players went under the hammer in the auction, which included multiple global stars. The likes of Sam Curran, Cameron Green, and Ben Stokes remained as the most expensive players in the auction bagging mammoth deals worth 18.5 crores, 17.5 crores, and 16.25 crores respectively. On the other hand, Mayank Agarwal and Shivam Mavi were the highest-paid Indian players with massive deals of 8.25 crore and 6 crores.
MS Dhoni comeback with massive sixes ahead of IPL 2023
Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings’ long-standing captain MS Dhoni has marked his presence on the Cricket field after a long absence. Dhoni was seen practicing in the open nets of JSCA stadium of Ranchi ahead of the much-anticipated season. A video of him smacking gigantic sixes against local spinners is doing rounds on social media. The CSK star appeared in great touch despite not being in action for a while.

“Without a doubt, I will participate next year. Playing in Chennai would be unfair to other teams. It won’t be kind to CSK supporters. Whether or whether 2023 will be my final year is something we will have to determine,” said MS Dhoni in 2022, confirming his availability for the upcoming season
MS Dhoni, possibly, will be featuring in his last IPL season. The 41-year-old has been the most successful captain in the history of the Indian Premier League with as many as four titles to his name. The wicketkeeper has been part of the Chennai-based franchise since the inaugural season and has rarely missed any matches for the team. Dhoni announced his retirement from international Cricket back in 2020 but has continued his run in the IPL.
