Mohammed Shami has started IPL 2022 on an excellent note by bowling beautiful lines and length to get rid of KL Rahul, Quinton De Kock, and Manish Pandey.
The spell from Shami was sensational and one of the best to witness. All three deliveries were wicket-taking deliveries, especially the delivery in which KL Rahul and De Kock got out.

Shami to de Kock, out Bowled!! What a ball again. Shami is bowling like this is a Test match. What seam presentation. Came in with the angle from round the wicket and accentuated even more with the seam movement – all done at pace and de Kock had no hope once the ball jagged back so much. Through the bat and pad gap, hits the top of the middle and leg and knocks the stump back. Dream start this for Gujarat. In three overs, Shami gave 10 runs and picked three wickets in the powerplay.
Lucknow’s batting order collapsed against Shami’s spell.
Gujarat Titans Captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to field first. And his decision came out to be a fruitful one as Shami got three wickets of KL Rahul, De Kock, and Manish Pandey. At the end of the powerplay, Lucknow Super Giants has added 32 runs with four wickets down.
