Mohammed Shami got rid of KL Rahul on the very first ball of the Game by bowling a fullish delivery around off. At first, the umpire was not convinced by the appeal and didn’t raise his hand. Titans Captain went for the DRS and in DRS it was seen that the ball hit the pad as well as nicked the ball which ended KL Rahul’s first innings in IPL 2022 for a golden duck.

And we have a review for a caught behind the first ball. There definitely seemed to be a deviation. Let’s see. The umpire shakes his head and Hardik goes for it. Shami was adamant it was out. Did the bat hit the pad? Given out though as there’s a spike on UltraEdge
Unplayable! Simply unplayable. Fullish around off, bring Rahul half-forward, he has the bat close to the pad in trying to defend, the bat hits the pad, but the ball takes the outside edge of the bat as well, at the same time. Clear deflection and that’s why Gujarat was so confident. Given not out but they review successfully. Big wicket and a cracker from Shami. Perfect Test-match line and length, with late movement.
