Virat Kohli was batting on 97 when the alleged not-given wide delivery occurred with India needing just 2 runs to win. One ball later, Kohli struck a maximum to complete his century and India’s win. Meanwhile, veteran Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram has reacted to the same during his recent media interaction.

Speaking about the wide ball controversy, here’s what Wasim Akram said on A Sports;

“Looks like one of those genuine mistakes by the umpire. It was a wide ball for sure. (On the controversy) This is for people who have nothing to do, who live off this crap and then they can go nuts with it.”

“Some people are talking about the run rate. They were winning by 15-20 overs. If a century is there for the taking, why not? They (Kohli and Rahul) were toying with the bowlers and enjoying their batting,”
