Mickey Arthur, the director of the Pakistan team, criticized the BCCI and ICC following his team got thrashed by India in Ahmedabad. Arthur stated that the environment at the venue amid the match heavily favored India and it seemed more like a ‘BCCI event’ rather than an ‘ICC event’. The 55-year-old also mentioned there was no Pakistani music played at the venue before citing a famous Pakistani song ‘Dil, Dil, Pakistan’.

Meanwhile, former England captain Michael Vaughan laughed at Mickey Arthur’s bizarre statements during his recent appearance in a podcast. Vaughan, who was joined by Adam Gilchrist in the Club Prairie Fire podcast, went on to pass some sarcastic remarks while praising India captain Rohit Sharma.

“Gilly, you are absolutely spot on about Rohit Sharma. His tactical awareness out in the middle, just managing the players, as you mentioned (Mohammed) Siraj – giving him an extra over just to give him a boost was exceptional. But his best move without a doubt, the move that won them the game, was obviously saying to the DJ to not play ‘Dil, Dil, Pakistan’.”

“If you play that, Pakistan will win. Do not play that song. Make sure that they don’t hear that inspirational song. That was clever from Rohit Sharma. Most captains don’t think about things like that – DJs and music. Rohit is ahead of his time,”
