In the ongoing third and the final ODI match at Capetown between India and South Africa, KL Rahul won the toss and was elected to field first.
On the third ball of the seventh over, KL Rahul’s direct hit at the non-striker end ended the Proteas skipper Temba Bavuma’s innings for eight runs. After his dismissal, Virat Kohli was seen giving an abusive send-off to the South Africa skipper.
Bavuma tapped the ball towards mid-off and ran for a quick single. Rahul was quick at mid-off to pick the ball and hit the Bullseye at the bowler end which eventually ended Bavuma’s innings as he was short. In reply, it was seen that Bavuma didn’t run on a straight line and pays the price.

Chahar to Bavuma, out Bavuma Run Out!! Direct hit and gone! 126kph, another outswinger, Bavuma miscues the drive towards mid-off and sets off for a single. Strangely he doesn’t run on a straight line and pays the price. After passing the bowler, he keeps running wider and that ensured he had to cover more distance. His counterpart – Rahul – hit the bullseye at the bowler’s end to catch him just short. A dive could have probably saved him. Two wickets in the powerplay for India.
Four changes for Team India in the third ODI match
Team India had four changes in the playing eleven as Shardul, Venkatesh, Bhuneshwar, and Ashwin made way for Deepak, Surya kumar, Krishna, and Jayant. KL Rahul won the toss and was elected to field first.
South Africa didn’t have a great start as they lost Malan for just a run. Deepak Chahar got the first breakthrough for India. Then, the Indian skipper ended South Africa’s skipper innings with a direct hit at the non-striker end. Deepak also got rid of Markram as he got out for almost a run-a-ball innings. After 20 overs, South Africa is 103 for 3 wickets down. Quinton de Kock is looking solid at one end.
