Rohit Sharma-led team India is squaring off against Team Australia in the first match of the ongoing T20I series today (September 20). The highly-anticipated opening encounter of the three-match home series is occurring at the PCA Stadium of Mohali with full spectators capacity.

Winning the toss, Australian captain Aaron Finch forced the Rohit Sharma-led batting unit to bat first on a relatively flat surface. The hosts failed to capitalize on the powerplay advantage but eventually caught up with opener KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav leading the fightback of the team. The top batters contributed with crucial half centuries in the mid phase of the game.

Hardik Pandya’s perfect finish further managed to tilt the game in India’s favor as the team posted a mountain-like total of 208. The Indian team will fancy their chances of getting the better of Australia with a full-fledged bowling attack. However, considering the surface conditions it will be nothing but unfair to rule out the chances of the Men In Yellow.

KL Rahul Steals The Show with stunning Flick Shot:

Indian opener KL Rahul displayed some delighting shots in his long stay at the crease. His flick shot against Australian quick Josh Hazlewood in the third over of the game left everyone including the bowler himself speechless. The maximum went on to land many rows back into the crowd.

It was an effortless hit by the Indian vice-captain, especially walking down the wicket. Rahul received a lot of praise from his teammates and Indian fans for presenting them with a feast. The innings included as many as three maximums and four boundaries, ending up his stay at the strike rate of 157.

KL Rahul was looking rusty in the recently-concluded Asia Cup as he was making a comeback after a long injury layoff. This show-stealing knock will certainly provide him with a lot of confidence heading into the upcoming assignments of the team. The right-hander would look to continue the momentum and get back into the groove.
