The 58th match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) has already commenced, Delhi Capitals won the match convincingly as Mitchell Marsh played a fiery knock.
It was an extremely important match of this season as far as the playoffs are concerned. It was a do-or-die match for Delhi Capitals if they want to keep their hopes of qualifying for the playoffs alive, on the other hand, a win would cement Rajasthan’s place in the playoffs and they will be fighting for top 2 positions after the win against Delhi Capitals.
The match was played at the DY Patil Stadium, Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and elected to bowl first. Due to the strong bowling attack of DC with the few minor changes that were made to the team, they managed to dominate the strong Rajasthan Royals batting lineup in the first innings and they were able to make a small total of 160 runs.

In the first innings, young seamer Kamlesh Nagarkoti entered the field as a replacement for Kuldeep Yadav. he did the unimaginable as he ended up taking a fabulous catch to send Debdutt Padikkal to the pavilion.
Anrich Nortje picked up 2 wickets in today’s match and the one of Devdutt Padikkal came after a fabulous catch of Kamlesh Nagarkoti.
In the match, Delhi Capitals convincingly chased down the target of 161 as the Aussies David Warner and Mitchell Marsh put on a 100+ runs partnership.
The Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh was awarded the Man Of The Match award for his brilliant all-around show.
He took 2 wickets in 3 overs while conceding only 25 runs and scored 89 runs off 62 balls in an attacking fashion. David Warner continued to perform as he scored his 5th half-century of this season so far and was unbeaten, in the end, Delhi Capitals’ captain Rishabh Pant came and scored some quick runs including two huge sixes on the offside, this will definitely help them to boost the NRR as it will be crucial for DC in the future.
