James Pattinson, Australian Pacer who played for Australia for a decade is all set to play for another country.
The 31 years old, Pattinson was only able to play 21 tests for Australia. Over the years he was in and out of the Australian side. Because of injuries and therefore got sidelined from the national cricket team.

His last appearance for Australia was in 2020 against New Zealand. He played around 76 first-class games for Victoria in which he took 302 wickets.
Could sign a contract with the County side
According to the latest news, James Pattinson is all set to sign a three-year contract with Nottinghamshire, England’s county side. Which also raises the point that his main intention is to play for the England cricket team.
“But in the end, I haven’t had the preparation I would have liked heading into the coming season. If I was to be part of the Ashes I would need to do myself and my teammates” justice.

I didn’t want to be in a position of battling with my body when you need to be 100 percent fit and ready to go at any time. That would not be fair to myself or the team”, Pattinson told in his briefing.
James Pattinson can make his England debut from January 2023
James Pattinson has also been approached a Nottinghamshire, a County Side for a three-year deal. If he goes on to play for them then he could be eligible to play for the England team by January 2023 which will also satisfy the ICC law, of at least three-year qualifications.
Apart from that, an additional cool-off period was advised by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) so that he could be eligible for a local passport.
