India Wicketkeeper Batsman Ishan Kishan is likely to miss the third and the final T20I against Srilanka on Sunday in Dharmshala. After the match, Ishan Kishan took to Hospital after the injury.
Ishan got hit on the helmet during the second T20I which took place on Saturday after which he was sent for a precautionary CT scan, as advised by the team’s medical staff. He is under observation for a concussion at a hospital in Kangra.
This incident happened on the second ball of the fourth over, where Ishan got beaten by Lahiru Kumara’s fast bouncer as he was late while playing the pull shot and the ball struck straight onto his helmet.
Immediately, he removed his helmet and the Srilankan team gathered around him and the Team physio inspected his condition. After that hit on the helmet, Ishan didn’t look comfortable and eventually got out for a 15-ball 16.

Who can replace Ishan at the top of the order?
Just before the start of this series, Ruturaj Gaikwad got injured and was ruled out of the squad. Mayank Agrawal was named his replacement in the squad.

And now it looks very difficult for Ishan to make a turnaround in such a short time as there are two games in back-to-back days.
According to reports, Mayank Agrawal who was drafted into the squad as a replacement of Ruturaj can open with Skipper Rohit Sharma or All rounder Venkatesh Iyer can open with Rohit.
Venkatesh Iyer has opened the batting in IPL but on the International level, this could be his first opportunity. Iyer has played both the games in this series but is yet to bat for the side.
With 2-0 up in the series, Team India could try some new strategies and can even give game time to the players who have been sitting on the bench.
