Franchises objects on Mumbai Indians playing in Wankhede
As, BCCI two days prior left a notice, which said seventy percent matches will be played in Mumbai and the rest will be played in Pune. It was a delight for all the fans, as Wankhede has a large capacity of holding the fans. But all the IPL teams are not aggreging on the term, because it has been the Home ground of the five-time champions Mumbai. They will have the benefit of the home ground. Not all the participating teams and their fans are happy with this decision by BCCI
As per The Times of India, the franchises don’t have any issue with MI playing their matches at any other ground except for Wankhede Stadium, which is their home ground. “None of the other teams are getting home matches. It will be unfair if MI plays a lot of their matches at Wankhede, which has been their den for years. The franchises have raised this concern. The franchisees don’t have an issue with Mumbai Indians playing the bulk of their matches at DY Patil stadium and in Pune. Even the Brabourne stadium is fine. Hopefully, the BCCI will look into the matter,” BCCI will have to ensure that they do the needful. It will be good to see a fair and good competition. BCCI is yet to announce the start date of IPL. Even the Schedule will be exciting.
