The latest edition of the Indian Premier League is set to begin on March 26, while the Final is scheduled on May 29. The league will take place in four venues inside Maharashtra and will be played with the availability of the crowd.

Moeen Ali, The all-rounder from England had his best season for Chennai in the last year of IPL. He played a crucial role in making Chennai achieve the title. Ali was promoted in the batting order, He batted at No. 3 throughout the season and that suited his style of play.
What comes as a sad update for the Chennai-based franchise is that The England all-rounder is yet to join them ahead of the IPL 2022, while the league is just 6 days away. The CEO of Chennai confirmed that Ali is stuck in England due to a Visa clearance issue. He also confessed that the BCCI is involved in the same issue.

“He had applied for his visa on February 28. It has been more than 20 days since the application was submitted. He has been a frequent traveler to India and yet he has not got the travel papers. We are hoping he will join the team soon. He has told us that he will take the very next flight after getting the papers, Even the BCCI has got itself involved to help us. We are hoping that he will get the papers by Monday.”
