An unfortunate incident took place in the IPL mega auction where the auctioneer, High Edmeades, just collapsed from the stage mid-way.
This incident happened when two teams Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore were engaged in a bidding war for Wanindu Hasaranga. The bidding price was raised to 10 crores and 75 lakhs and then this incident happened.
Because of this incident, the auction is temporarily halted and the Lunch has been taken a bit early. The report by Gautam Bhimani, who has updated from ground zero has stated that the auctioneer is fine.

Shreyas Iyer sold to KKR for 12.25 crores whereas IPL legend Suresh Raina went unsold
Currently, Shreyas Iyer is the costliest player in this auction. He has been picked for 12.25 crores by Kolkata Knight Riders.
Suresh Raina, who is known as “MR.IPL” went unsold in the first round of the auction. David Miller is also known as ‘Killer Miller’ also went unsold.
