While batting first, The Gujarat-based team scored 171 runs. Shubman Gill ended up scoring 84 runs, while, The skipper Hardik Pandya scored 31 runs. The score is decent and respectable but at the same time, It can’t be denied that the total is not a match-winning one.
In return, Delhi Capitals are already 1 down at 1.1 overs. Prithvi Shaw, The opener of DC started with a beautiful boundary while Tim Seifert, The kiwi batsman fell prey to Hardik Pandya in the second over itself.
It was a surprising move by the GT skipper to bring himself in the second over itself but the move has worked for the Gujarat-based franchise.
Khaleel Ahmed dismisses Hardik Pandya :
On the last delivery on the 14th over, Khaleel Ahmed bowled a quick full-length delivery while keeping the line near the outside off-stump. Hardik Pandya was the batsman and he was beaten by pace Ahmed. The ball was bowled at the pace of 140 KMPH.
Rovman Powell took a comfortable catch at the long-on region as the skipper of Titans mistimed the ball completely. The all-rounder had to walk back after getting a good start. He scored 31 runs with the help of 4 boundaries.
What came as a surprise is the left-arm pacer’s reaction. Ahmed gave Pandya an angry stare and exchanged some heated words. The reaction from him was obvious as Pandya did some damage before getting dismissed.
