The West Indies home series is a new start for Team India as this will be Rohit Sharma’s first game as full-time captain. Rohit Sharma win the toss and elected to field first. West Indies’ poor form in the One day format continued as the visitors got all out within 44th over on the score of 176. In this match we see Virat Kohli convinced Rohit Sharma to take a review.
Spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar played a crucial role to stop the visitors. Chahal picked four big wickets whereas Sundar picked three.
At one stage, West Indies were 79/7 in the 23rd over, but the 78 runs partnership for the 8th wicket between Jason Holder and Fabian Allen helped West Indies recover a bit. Holder scored 57 runs off 71 balls which includes 4 sixes.
Virat Kohli convinced Rohit Sharma to take a review
This incident took place in the 22nd over which was bowled by Yuzvendra Chahal, where Shamarh brooks was given not out by the on-field umpire over a caught behind appeal and Rishabh Pant was unsure about the edge when Rohit Sharma asked him.
Virat Kohli, who was fielding in the covers, then came and told Rohit Sharma that he is sure that the ball had hit the bat and should go for the review. In the end, the review was successful and the umpire had to change the decision as the ball has hit the bat and Virat Kohli was right.

Commentary of the same-
Chahal to Shamarh Brooks, out Caught by Pant!! Chahal is convinced about a caught-behind. Urges the captain and gets support from Kohli as well. Rohit goes for it. And sure enough, there’s a spike on UltraEdge when the ball is next to the bat. Third time that India have reviewed successfully. It’s a leg-break that rips sharply after drawing Brooks forward in defence, taking the edge to the keeper. There was a thought from some of the Indian players that bat was hitting pad, but Chahal was convinced. As was Kohli.
Washington Sundar after his brilliant spell
“Definitely, very good to be back in Indian colours. Heartening to get the opportunity today. Bit of turn and bit of slowness to start with was a treat for me. Me and Yuzi enjoyed bowling today. Hopefully we can get this quite easily. Most teams would prefer starting with seamers. But this is what I have veen doing in domestic cricket as well. I have been bowling 7th, 8th overs and so on in the powerplay. I am very comfortable doing this as well. We should be hopefully get this easily”

When your keeper says “mujhe nahi pata” for a DRS call, it’s only fair that you have someone as convincing as Virat at covers to push you to take it. 😂😂#RishabhPant #ViratKholi #RohitSharma #INDvsWI
