Initially, the tour had 3 test matches, 3 ODI matches, and 4 T20I matches but after the outbreak of the omicron virus in South Africa, the BCCI and CSA agreed to postpone the T20 series at a later date.

19th January- Paarl, 2:00 PM (IST)

The tour will start with the Boxing Day Test match followed by a test game in Centurion and Capetown. After the Test series, Paarl will host two ODI games and Capetown will host the final tour game.
