I had no clue about the number of bodies that needle had pierced: Dhawan on his first Tattoo
Shikhar Dhawan, the freshly named Punjab Kings captain, revealed his hilarious tattoo story on the ‘Seedhi Baat’ show of Aaj Tak recently. Dhawan confessed that he tried to hide a tattoo on his back from his parents, which he imprinted during a visit to Manali. He further added that he was beaten by his father after he got to know about the tattoo. Out of fear of the doggy needle, Dhawan went on to do an HIV test, which returned negative.
“When I was 14-15 years old, I had gone to Manali and got a tattoo done on my back without informing my family members. I had to hide it for quite some time, about 3-4 months, and then when my father got to know, he beat me,” said Shikhar Dhawan
“I got a bit scared after doing the tattoo because I had no clue about the number of bodies that needle had pierced. So then I went and did an HIV Test and it was negative to date (laughs),” Dhawan further added on Aaj Tak’s ‘Seedhi Baat’ show
Punjab Kings, as a franchise, has failed to secure a single IPL title, despite featuring in the league for as many as 14 years. It will be interesting to see how Shikhar Dhawan’s tenure with Punjab Kings as the captain pans out. Dhawan will be leading an IPL team for the first time and it is indeed a mega opportunity for him to prove his mettle in the leadership role.
