My conversion rate in List A cricket is better than Virat Kohli: Khurram Manzoor
Meanwhile, a senior Pakistan batter Khurram Manzoor is in the limelight following a controversial statement during a chat with Nadir Ali on his YouTube. Manzoor compared himself with modern-day great Virat Kohli, saying that his century conversion rate is better than Kohli’s. The 36-year-old believes he is the best batter in One-Day Internationals going around. To conclude, He raised concerns about his consistent non-selection on the Pakistan side.
“I am not comparing myself with Virat Kohli. The fact is, in 50-overs cricket, whoever is there in the top-10, I am the world no.1. After me stands Kohli. My conversion rate in List A cricket is better than his. He scores a century every six innings. I score a century every 5.68 innings. And based on my average of 53, over the last 10 years, I have ranked fifth in the world in List A cricket.” said Khurram Manzoor
Khurram Manzoor last featured for the national side in 2016 in a T20I against Bangladesh. Waiting for a comeback call, The Karachi batter has been part of 17 Tests, 7 ODIs, and 3 T20Is in his brief career. He has 817, 236, and 3 runs to his name respectively in three formats. Moreover, Manzoor consistently marks his presence in the Pakistan Super League.
“I also have scored 24 centuries in the last 48 innings. Between 2015 and now, whoever has opened for Pakistan, I still remain the leading scorer among them. I am also the top scorer and century-getter in national T20. Yet I get ignored. And nobody has ever given me a solid reason for that,” Manzoor further added during a YouTube chat
