Hilton Cartwright grabs a stunner running towards his left from long on changed the game for his team. Western Australia went on to beat New South Wales in the Final of The Australia One-Day Cup. Also known as the Marsh One-Day Cup.
Western Australia Captain Aston Turner won the toss and elected to bat first. While batting first, the team posted 225 runs in their 50 overs quota. In the chase, New South Wales lost wickets at regular intervals which made the match even-steven.
At one end, Moises Henriques was batting sensible and was carrying all the hopes of New South Wales. His main task was to bat with the tailenders and take the team over the line. Before Moises Wicket, New South Wales needed just 22 runs in 36 balls and was in the driving seat.

But Hilton Cartwright though had other plans as he went soaring to catch a screamer off Henriques’ bat. This incident happened on the first ball of the 45th over, where Moises tried to attack D Arcy Short straight over the long-on.
Cartwright who was standing a little wide of long-on ran towards his left and threw himself in the air for a full-stretch dive to pull off an unbelievable catch.
After this catch, all his teammates came running towards him to celebrate the brilliant catch and even One of the commentators went on to term it as one of the best catches in the Marsh Cup.
