Brad Hogg praises Yuzvendra Chahal:
Meanwhile, The former Australian leg-spinner Brad Hogg has backed Yuzvendra Chahal to contribute significantly to the T20 World Cup. He confessed that the Indian leg-spinner has shown incredible improvement in the last few months and adapted to the format pretty well.
Hogg believes that leg spinners are probably the most effective bowling options heading into the middle overs in the shortest format of the game. He went on to say that Chahal is right up there with the best. He admitted that India is the favorite for the marquee event while concluding his remarks.
Here’s what Brad Hogg said:
“He’s up there. I think leg-spin in T20 cricket is probably the most effective option, especially in those middle overs. The thing I like about Chahal is he is up there with the best, just the way he has adapted his game in the past couple of years.”
“He had a period there where he got found out, but then he found a method to rebuild himself and get back into the contest. He has grown as an individual as well. So that’s another reason India is favorites to win the T20 World Cup, his growth over the last year or two. He is going to have a better tournament in Australia.”
